How do I create a profile on Vivah?

Register with your email or phone number, then go to My Profile to fill in your personal, family, education, and horoscope details. Your profile is reviewed and typically goes live within a few hours.

Can I create a profile for my son or daughter?

Yes, many parents manage profiles on behalf of their children. Simply mention this in the “Profile managed by” field so other members understand the context.

How long does profile verification take?

Most profiles are verified within 24 hours. You’ll receive an email once your verified badge is active.

Matching & Search

How does Kundali Matching work?

Enter both birth details into our Guna Milan calculator, which scores compatibility across all 8 gunas out of 36 points based on Nakshatra and Rashi.

What’s the difference between Shortlist and Send Interest?

Shortlisting privately saves a profile for you to revisit. Sending interest notifies the other member that you’d like to connect.

Can I search by caste, community, or mother tongue?

Yes, our advanced filters include religion, caste/community, mother tongue, profession, city, income, and manglik status.

Messaging

Who can message me?

Only members you’ve accepted an interest from, or who match your visibility settings, can start a conversation with you.

Is my phone number visible to other members?

No. Contact details stay hidden until you choose to share them, or until a Gold/Diamond member views your verified contact info.

What do I get with a paid membership?

Gold and Diamond plans unlock verified contact details, unlimited messaging, advanced filters, and greater profile visibility. See our Membership page for full details.

How do I cancel auto-renewal?

Go to Account Settings → Membership and toggle off auto-renewal any time before your next billing date.

Privacy & Safety

How do I report a profile?

Open the profile or message thread and select “Report.” Our Trust & Safety team reviews all reports within 24 hours. See our Safety Tips for more guidance.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes, go to Account Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and personal data from Vivah, in line with our Privacy Policy.
